Lyra Vayal is a Sharlayan woman and an enthusiastic but not always overly focused scholar of Aetherology.
Founding member of the Stewards of Relm ((org name WIP)) A scholatly organization focused on collecting invaluable research that is often overlooked.
Having spent almost her entire life within the confines of the isle of Old Sharlayan (with occasional short trips to Thavnair either to visit her mother's family or attend festivals) she has recently set sail to travel to the distant shores of Eorzea for the first time.

About

Lyra Vayal is a Sharlayan woman of no small accomplishment, but very little notoriety. An enthusiastic but not always overly focused scholar of Aetherology. With some amount of study and skill in various schools such as Arcanima and Conjury, her main focus of both academic and practical pursuits has fallen squarely on Pictomancy.
Founding member of the Stewards of Relm ((org name WIP)), a scholarly organization with focuses on both the effects of abnormal aetheric phenomenon across the star and the interplay between aetherology and anthropology. It is most certainly not an excuse to get Forum funding to set out on adventures, and is assuredly focused on collecting invaluable research that is often overlooked; the trees for the forest and all that.
Having spent almost her entire life within the confines of the isle of Old Sharlayan (with occasional short trips to Thavnair either to visit her mother's family or attend festivals) she has recently set sail to travel to the distant shores of Eorzea for the first time, on her very first field study on behalf of her organization.

  • NEAR EASTERN HERITAGE- Lyra's mother moved to Sharlayan to start her family, but hails originally from Thavnair. They were often given leave to travel to and from the distant isle to visit family or partake of festivals and events.

  • PAPERWORK PURPOSE- Technically her journeys across Eorzea is officially about studying aetherical anomalies and the general state of aether in the wake of the Final Days (at least that's what the funding was for, and she takes it just seriously when it comes up)
